The Food Science, Nutrition, and Technology series by STAR Scholars Press invites chapter authors and guest editors to contribute to its upcoming 2026 volumes.
This international, peer-reviewed, open-access book series showcases advanced research and technological innovation at the intersection of food science, human nutrition, and food technology. Designed for doctoral researchers, early-career scientists, industry professionals, and interdisciplinary scholars, the series captures the depth and diversity of emerging work shaping the global food landscape—from molecules to markets. Each book will highlight a specialized theme, presenting original, evidence-based chapters that advance scientific understanding, promote food quality and safety, and contribute to health, sustainability, and innovation worldwide.
Call for Book ChaptersWe invite scholars, researchers, and practitioners to contribute chapters (approximately 4,500 words) to the upcoming volumes of this series.
Chapters may address empirical research, conceptual analyses, methodological innovations, or applied practices in the following broad domains:

Authors are encouraged to submit chapters that integrate scientific rigor, technological insight, and societal relevance. Interdisciplinary, cross-cultural, and collaborative studies are highly valued.
Submission RequirementsInterested authors should submit the following materials by email:

A chapter abstract (200–250 words) summarizing the topic, scope, and contribution.

A brief author biography (100–150 words).

A short CV (maximum two pages).
Chapter Length: ~4,500 words (including references)
Peer Review: Double-blind process managed by STAR Scholars Press editors

We are also accepting proposals from experienced scholars to serve as Guest Editors or Volume Editors for three forthcoming titles.
Guest editors will lead a themed book project, coordinate with contributing authors, oversee the peer-review process, and co-author an introductory or concluding chapter. STAR Scholars Press provides full editorial and production support throughout.

Ideal candidates will have:

A Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or doctoral student in food science, nutrition, or a related field;

Demonstrated publication or editorial experience;

A record of research, teaching, or leadership in the relevant domain; and
-
A commitment to mentoring emerging researchers and maintaining scholarly excellence.
