About the Press

STAR Scholars Press is a scholarly university press by scholars publishing peer-reviewed monographs and interdisciplinary research that advance higher education, AI governance, and global scholarship.

The press publishes peer-reviewed journals, academic monographs, edited volumes, and scholarly book series across disciplines, including higher education, international education, artificial intelligence governance, leadership studies, and global social issues. Publications are developed and evaluated through international editorial boards composed of scholars affiliated with universities and research institutions worldwide.

We support discovery and innovation in both emerging and established scholars from diverse backgrounds by making research and publication more accessible to them. We envision an innovative hub of inspiration in the academic world. Our platform serves as a dynamic forum, supporting publications across the discipline. We promote perspectives that delve into a wide range of contemporary issues, facilitating the cross-fertilization of ideas across disciplines.

Our mission is more than just disseminating information; it is about enriching the fabric of knowledge and deepening our understanding of the crucial issues that shape today's society. We are dedicated to exploring the frontiers of knowledge. Our diverse portfolio of academic journals and books is a testament to this commitment.

This is a distinguished publishing network that connects over 15,000 scholars and students from thousands of universities worldwide. It stands out for its commitment to open-access publishing, ensuring quality-tested scientific publications are widely accessible.

STAR Scholars Press operates as a not-for-profit scholarly publishing initiative. Its publishing activities are supported through a combination of:

  • institutional partnerships with universities and libraries

  • book processing charges (BPCs) for open access publications

  • research grants and publication support initiatives

  • scholarly collaborations within the STAR Scholars Network.

The publishing program is overseen by the editorial office of STAR Scholars Press, with series editors and editorial boards supervising peer review and scholarly quality assurance.

The Editors and Members of the Board at the Press play a crucial role in overseeing the Press's business operations. This board comprises faculty members, students, and publishing professionals from different institutions. This diverse composition ensures a well-rounded approach to the management and strategic direction of the Press.

Our interdisciplinary platform is not just a repository of groundbreaking thought and research; it is also a crossroads where ideas on educational practice, policy, and scholarship are shared and exchanged.

Join us in this endeavor to shape a brighter, more informed future.
