The Sustainable Built Environments & Construction Management Series explores emerging research, practices, and innovations that advance resilient, efficient, and future-ready built environments. This series focuses on the intersection of sustainability, construction engineering, technology integration, and risk mitigation within the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) sectors. It highlights scholarship that strengthens project performance, enhances safety, and promotes environmentally responsible construction practices across global contexts.

This series welcomes proposals and manuscripts in the following (but not limited to) areas:

  • Sustainable built environments and green construction practices

  • Innovative construction materials and life-cycle assessment

  • Energy retrofitting and building performance optimization

  • Construction risk analysis, modeling, and mitigation strategies

  • Safety management systems and safety planning using BIM and digital tools

  • Smart cities, urban resilience, and climate-adaptive infrastructure

  • Construction project management, cost estimation, and contingency modeling

  • Workforce development, professional identity formation, and leadership in AEC

  • Infrastructure sustainability and community-based construction initiatives

  • Technology-enabled design methods, including BIM, digital twins, and automation
