Historically Black Institutions (HBIs) and International Research Partnerships and Outcomes.
(A part of the HBCU International Footprint Book Series, to be published by STAR Scholar Press.
We invite proposals for a chapter on Collaborative Frontiers in the volume above. The goal of
this volume is to showcase the research collaborations and partnerships that have been
developed between HBIs and international institutions and organizations across all
disciplines. If you have been a part of the development of international collaborations that
advance the scholarly pursuits of students and faculty members, we invite you to contribute
a chapter to this volume. Your contribution should discuss the development of the
partnership(s), the unique components of the collaboration (e.g., student-focused, faculty-focused, curricular aspects), success metrics, lessons learned, and plans and suggestions for
the future.
Please send your 2-4 page proposal by October 15, 2024 that outlines how you will address the ideas raised above to the editors, ‘Dimeji Togunde (dtogunde@spelman.edu) and Kai McCormack
(KMcCormack@spelman.edu) . Full manuscripts will be due January 15, 2025

- Make sure the chapter does not exceed a word count of 5,000 max(including references).
- All in-text citations and references must follow the APA 7th edition manual.
- Any text, figure or table reproduced from another publication will need adequate acknowledgment of the source AND permission.
- Include an abstract for each chapter (120-150 words), including keywords (5-7 words).
- Please avoid endnotes/footnotes; use them as regular text if needed.
