Abstract
This chapter is based on my decades of successful experience counseling and guiding California community college students to transfer to the University of California, Berkeley and other institutions of choice. This chapter highlights the importance of counseling and advising in university transfer admission (UTA) success and discusses the roles played by community colleges and universities in eventually arriving at the model of copiloting among the student, the community college and the respective university partner.
